Doors guitarist Robby Krieger, David Crosby and Little Feat‘s Fred Tackett are scheduled to participate in the gathering, which brings together people passionate about the movement to make cannabis legal.

The event will feature award presentations, networking opportunities, guest speakers and, of course, musical performances.

Krieger and Tackett both will perform on January 22, playing with their respective side projects The New Experience and Silver Strings. The New Experience is made up of keyboardist Ed Roth, who’s collaborated with Ronnie Montrose and Annie Lennox; bassist Kevin Brandon, who played with Aretha Franklin for more than 20 years and also worked with many other well-known musicians; and drummer Dale Alexander, whose resume includes working with Prince and George Benson.

As for Crosby, he’s signed on as a celebrity judge for the 2020 WeedCon Buyers Cup awards, which will be handed out January 23. The awards honor excellence in various cannabis-related products. David will be joined on the judging panel by various cannabis industry professionals and dispensary buyers.

Among the other events scheduled for the 23rd are performances by rapper Wyclef Jean and a musical collective dubbed Cali Life All-Star Band that includes longtime Rolling Stones backing singer Bernard Fowler and Who touring members Loren Gold and Jon Button.

Live and silent auctions will be held both days, with funds raised benefiting the Safety Harbor Kids charity, which supports orphans, foster children and homeless youth in their schooling and career goals, as well as arts education.

Krieger and Tackett also performed at WeedCon Wonderland organizers’ previous conference, the WeedCon West Expo, which took place last June.
