Ohio campus police officer indicted for killing black man due in court

University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing's body camera shows his handgun drawn in CincinnatiRay Tensing, 25, was indicted on Wednesday on murder and voluntary manslaughter charges in the July 19 death of Samuel Dubose, 43, who was shot in the head during a traffic stop. Tensing was scheduled to appear in the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas at 10 a.m. (1400 GMT) The incident was the latest in a series of fatal police confrontations across the United States that have raised questions about police use of force against minorities.

Teva's MS drug Copaxone has strong second-quarter sales

An employee of Teva stands in Jerusalem oral solid dosage plantTeva Pharmaceutical Industries , which this week revealed plans to buy Allergan's generics drugs business in a $40.5 billion deal, said on Thursday sales of its branded multiple sclerosis drug Copaxone rose 12 percent in the second quarter even though it faces new competition. Teva, the world's biggest generic drug maker, said that global Copaxone sales rose to $1.1 billion in the April-June quarter and it held a 31.2 percent shares of total MS prescriptions in the United States. Sandoz, part of Swiss drugmaker Novartis AG , and Momenta Pharmaceuticals in June launched a once daily 20 mg version of Copaxone called Glatopa.


Planned Parenthood reports second website hack in a week

The Planned Parenthood logo is pictured outside a clinic in BostonWebsites operated by Planned Parenthood and its political branch, Planned Parenthood Action, were clogged by a wide-scale "distributed denial-of-service," or DDoS, attack, the organization said. Service was restored shortly after the attack, but the group opted to keep its websites offline for the remainder of the day "to ensure that we are fully protected," Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said in a statement. Visitors to Planned Parenthood sites, which serve some 200,000 people a day seeking information on reproductive health, birth control, sexually transmitted diseases, parenting, abortion and other topics, were being redirected to its Facebook pages for the time being, Laguens said.
